All couples
need to register their intent to marry with the Registry Office in Nadi.
Depending on which resort you choose – the wedding co-ordinator will escort
the couple to the registry office, which is open in Nadi from 9.00am -
3.00pm Monday to Friday (closed on public holidays). It takes about 30
minutes to complete the formalities. We suggest that couples allow a day on
the mainland prior to travelling to their Island resort to complete this
process.
The bride and groom must bring the following documents to allow a smooth
process of registering their intent to marry in Fiji.
* Certified or original copy of their Birth certificate
* Current
passport
* If
previously married a copy of the divorce papers.
If
your ceremony is taking place on the outer islands, we recommend a day in
Nadi to process the paperwork. |
