One Of Our Favourite Weddings Of The Year...

Our Blog this month features one of our favourite weddings of the year. Alex and Rich at the aptly named Khayangan Estate otherwise known as Seventh Heaven.
Khayangan Estate lives up to its name with clifftop sparkling ocean views and expansive manicured grounds.  It is ideal for a wedding with distinctive areas for guests to be welcomed, a spectacular circular area with uninterrupted views of the ocean for the wedding ceremony, lush green lawn for cocktails and canapes and a spacious palm tree studded lawn, with a terraced rice field style backdrop for the reception.  It is a huge space and the most challenging venue for our vendors to load in and out as the reception area, where most of the set ups take place, is the farthest point from the loading area.  However, they all just get on with it with a minimum of fuss and a smile on their faces.
We just loved working with this couple whose main focus was on their love and their families. After several meetings in Sydney, our director Narelle Williams was able to understand just what Alex and Rich were looking for on their wedding day and after a wave of a magic wand (otherwise known as lots of hard work) was able bring their dream to life.
Catering for their Wedding was prepared by the amazing Merah Putih Catering and it was so much fun to work with the owner Jasper.  Alex and Rich decided the food was one of the most important inclusions for their wedding and with Alex’s attention to detail and the menu Merah Putih Catering created, not to mention the delicious Hibiscus Lychee Martinis as one of the choices at the bar, it exceeded expectations.
Alex had a very clear vision on what she wanted with the flowers, texture styling and colors.  We worked with Wed in Bali flowers to incorporate her color theme and ensure the flowers chosen, mostly imported, matched and looked gorgeous on the tables supplied by Bali Event Hire.  The overhead structure laden with fairy lights, chiffon and flower filled ladders needed a strong truss just to hold everything in place.
A big thank you went out to Adicom who at the last minute, due to the unseasonal rain in Bali were able to assemble a clear roof above the rather large structure we had which held off a small sprinkling of rain just as Alex and Rich were about to take to the dance floor for their special first dance together as husband and wife.  So along with the well-respected Balinese Rain Stopper Pak Manku, nothing was going to put a dampener on their magical day.
Alma Photography and his team captured some truly moving photos during the day and on into the evening and were happy to re-create the different styles of photos Alex had requested.
The guests were entertained by Naem Percussion a high-energy Bongo Boys Band, the Acoustic Jazz band D’Coustic with a special highlight being ReAnn, Alex’s maid of honour, singing for her.  Cool and suave saxophone player Turah started off the dance party ensuring guests danced the night away on the beautifully warm stained wooden dance floor supplied by Virtuoso.
We loved being a part of Alex and Rich’s special day and wish them all the love and happiness in the world for their future together :)
